Governor Vasip Sahin told reporters through a televised speech that, “46 people remained injured, while unfortunately 7 of our citizens were found lifeless”.
Many 7 people have remained dead after a high-speed train crashed into a locomotive in the Turkish capital this Thursday, according to the Ankara governor's office, which thus coincided with an initial balance of only four victims.
According to the governor, one of the victims was the train driver, while there were also 46 injured persons, 3 of whom were critical of life. Earlier, it was also reported that the wounded were 3 fewer.

Images published by Turkish media show several rail cars, as well as remnants of train scattered throughout the entire section of the railway where the accident occurred.
Ankara's public prosecutor has launched an investigation into the crash, reports state news agency “Anadolu”.
The accident comes after another rail disaster in July, when 24 people lost their lives and hundreds were injured when the train came off track in Turkey's northwest due to heavy rainfall.
