He has also spoken of the initiative of transforming the KSF into the Army, saying Kosovo does not have its allies' support for it.
“First for the tax, Federica Moghrini and Johannes Hahn have made it clear that that decision has to be withdrawn because there is no base”, Lajcak said of the Slovak media SME.
Lajcak has said Pristina must have the support of allies.
The EU's “position is clear that the army will be in co-ordination with the institutions and the Constitution, they have said international support is needed, which at the moment does not have Kosovo”, the Slovak foreign minister has said.
Slovakia is one of five EU countries, which continues not to recognise the Republic of Kosovo as a state.
The United States of America, meanwhile, has come out in support of the establishment of the Kosovo Army. US Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costett has said the establishment of the military is a positive step for Kosovo.
