The head of the Democratic League of Kosovo(LDK), led by its chairman, Isa Mustafa, held a media conference on it just a few minutes ago, he has re-evaluated the LDK's stance that it does not become part of Kosovo's Negotiator team for dialogue with Serbia.
This conference comes just a day after US President Donald Trump sent letter to President Hashim Thaci, and the request of the latter and the co-partisans from the PDK, that the LDK and VV become part of the dialogue.
Isa Mustafa said the LDK will make its contribution through the opposition's role, but has warned that it will not vote any agreement that speaks of correcting Kosovo's borders or “creating third power within Kosovo through the founding of the Serbian Commission Association with executive powers within the state of Kosovo.
“If we start at the end, any agreement can come to the Republic of Kosovo's Assembly and any agreement cannot go by 59 votes as far as the resolution has now received, and says that the fact that it has not received 61 votes of this team's rightful shares requires 80 votes in favour of the international agreement, the LDK will give its opinion whether it agrees with this agreement, and making its contribution whether it will vote or not. Even if we will have transparency in dialogue, the LDK will be key in giving its remarks and suggestions, but we do not become part of informal groups and not prepared for this dialogue process”, he has said, reminding the government that there are no votes for any agreements without the LDK, the Periscope broadcasts.
Mustafa also said that how the LDK has worked closely with the European Union to move the processes forward, because his party's assessment is to create conditions and meet the criteria required by Kosovo to become an EU member.
“We are the ones who have expressed interest and we have said that we have no choice other than European and democratic”, he said. “The LDK has accepted its position as a opposition party and we have been struggling further to be a correcter factor in the Assembly, so that decisions made to be consistent with the country's interests ... It is not a flight from responsibility but a takeover of responsibility to contribute dialogue and any agreement that would be in the interest of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as Kosovo citizens, Mustafa has said, stressing as well as are the fact that this process has been delivered before the US.
“ ... the place our President Ibrahim Rugova has said we should cultivate permanent friendship. And we appreciate this friendship and we appreciate that the process of dialogue is going forward and that it is in the interest of Kosovo, and the countries that make dialogue but we also see the responsibility of Kosovo institutions that for this dialogue they have to have political legitimacy and citizens, and we as LDK have the emphasis that this legitimacy would best be won through the free vote of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo”, he said.
According to him recently, the LDK faced an act of President Hashim Thaci, which it appointed unconstitutional for the composition of the CEC. He said they will seek two countries like you belong to as the LDK, and if that is not taken into account constitutional actions will be taken against Thaci. /Periscopi
