The agreement agreed with London and Brussels on “Brexit” was left to be voted into the British Parliament on Tuesday, but it seems that the numbers of cards against this plan, where deputies of the prime minister's and opposition parties had declared they would vote against, have been precisely the reason that chief Prime Minister Theresa May decided to cancel the vote and reject the plan, along with the public humiliation of an agreement she has invested largely politically.
Mrs. May presented the issue of the border between Northern Ireland, part of Britain, with the Republic of Ireland, a state of the EU, envisioned in the deal. After this development, the British prime minister will take trips to European capitals before taking part in the EU Summit Thursday and Friday, aimed at improving the current agreement with the European Union, which Brussels has currently staunchly rejected, saying there will be no more negotiations for the agreed divorce package.
While the prime minister declared to the British Parliament that, from the ongoing talks with them, European leaders are open to accommodate British MPs' concerns.
After this development, “Brexit” becomes an equation of more unknowns, where both Brussels and London do not want Britain's access without any agreement.
That said, other options remain to renegotiate the current agreement to avoid exiting the EU without agreement, or holding a second referendum for “Brexit”. The annulment of the vote in Parliament causes the British currency “stylina” to drop to the lowest exchange rate over the past 18 months.
