Haradinaj talks about Telekom and shows whether New Kosovo will be built

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj claims Telekom is a debt-ridden company, acknowledging it is difficult to return to the former situation without an external investor.

He admits that whether new products are made or loaned, it cannot reach a positive balance.

It also speaks of the “New Kosovo thermal power plant, where, according to him, the World Bank has sabotaged its construction for 20 years. He says its construction will happen, and if the Government can't find a partner, then according to him, he finds the investor, which is the American company Contour Global.

“Even Gail (so-called director) and I all of Kosovo have known that Telekom is a squeezed, debt-banked company with problems, with contracts that are too heavy for the company itself. A more difficult situation is that company, it's a challenge to restore the company without a partner, it's hardly just from managerial skills to change the situation in that company. No way, numbers are numbers, they're ruthless. The only way now to find a partner, that's another foreign investor, some company, puts a new product on the market, or they'll lend him, like the Government, but it's hard to get back to a positive balance except with the management, because the situation is very serious, now that I know the Board has put in a task leader, while the problem is with getting back at this company, profitability without any other major action of”, he tells Kosova Praris.

Haradinaj says he will ask managers for a plan, even a loan if they ask for government. But if that happens, he feels that the country's budget is to be used with great reasoning.

I have not given money to the company government, without days of relationship that will happen to this company. It's dangerous to teach a company that works at a loss given to us, is a risk like that, we can't dare”, Haradinaj declares.

When discussing the construction of the thermocentral plant “New Kosovo”, says a partner will be found for it, and that, according to him, the World Bank has hampered its construction for 20 years.

The government had been very happy to have invested all of it in the “New Kosovo”, because they have a good investment. But we haven't done that, we've been busy with projects of other nature. Fortunately, we have found an investor who in this case is “Countur Global”. Kosovo has given competition, which guarantees the investment that it happens in Kosovo, that's what investment is, here's the first item, this is the product that has to go on sale, that's the money that comes back. There is no danger... the World Bank has never been our partner, they've sabotaged us for 20 years... since the time of Kosovo. Kosovo has had 2100 megawatts, they have delayed us, sab run-offs run until they were discovered, until they had nowhere to go, without saying no, we are not interested. They were never friends of this project. Never, ever have we been boycotted. Even, if we can find the ideal part of er, such as the American Opic, or any other ideal partner... if we don't find the partners, they find the investor”, Haradinaj claims.
