Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, in an interview for the Serbian daily “Kurir” has spoken of Kosovo's 100 per cent tax on Serbian products.
He said there could be dialogue without the removal of this tax, while the Serbian top diplomat admits that “is losing” Kosovo.
He has asked the European Union to pressure for the meaningless removal of the tax on Serbian products.
The minister said that if three years ago the EU has managed to lift Croatia's blockade at the border with Serbia, then it can do it with Pristina.
Similarly, he added, there is no government in the world that has not asked for tax removal, including the EU and the US. According to him, only the Albanian government thinks differently about the issue.
As the question continues that Pristina still has the support of world powers after the tax is imposed, the Serbian minister replied: Maybe he did, but he doesn't. )
Serbia doesn't take any counters because we respect agreements. And for Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's statement that the tax does not go down until Serbia recognises Kosovo, Dacic said Haradinaj talks about many things that do not happen.
While, for the dialogue, he said that until the tax is lifted and the situation can be normalised there can be no talks. “Any dialogue until the normalisation of the situation would have no meaning”, he said.
“Every day without a solution, we are a day closer to losing Kosovo”, concluded Ivica Dacic.
