province's spokesman, Yildi Farhad, has said at least 28 Taliban fighters were killed and about 25 were injured in the area, Shinand, near the border with Iran on November 30th.
The head of the area where the attack took place, Hekmatullah Hekmatt, has said the clashes occurred amid the faithful fighters of the Taliban leader, Haibatullah Akhundzada, against forces of the former Taliban commander who now heads a faction in Afghanistan, Mohammad Rasul.
