The Dehar case is no longer regarded as suicide, but as suspicious murder.

Experts conducted in Kosovo by the prosecution and by independent experts who went against the manner of Astrit Dehari's death on November 5, 2016, raised even more dilemmas for the case. What had happened that day would only be understood by one expertise carried out in another country.
Wanting to shed light on this death, Kosovo's Assembly in December 2016 adopted recommendations, saying that “the family may require expertise from any EU country, or the US, and the government removes all expenses”.
The Dehar family chose Switzerland, and the state allocated 50,000 euros.
Although nearly a year has passed when the prosecution has forwarded the report to Switzerland with evidence and documents, the result of super expertise has yet to be submitted.
As the super expertise is being carried out, so have the prosecution's statements on this case, already, even in documents the case “Dehari” is not being named as suicide, but, like the suspicious “death”.
This is also made known in the official document, sent by the Constitutional Prosecutor in Prizren, where the name of the person who will carry out the expertise is taught.
Prosecutor Metush Biray has confirmed this, saying that without receiving the report from Switzerland, it has not come up with conclusions as to whether it is a suspicious case or a suicide.
“Rast has been treated as a suicide in the past few years, but there's no pungent play that we've never had to do with murder, yet, again, to explain our case with opinions, we've sent the case to the Lozanne, and we're waiting for them to come out with computers or we're dealing with suicide or what<1...
The case is in final phase and is expected to be closed very soon and the report will be sent to Kosovo.
The reaction to this change of reference has also been to the Dehari family.
The Founding Procuror in Prizren no longer describes even through statements that former Vetevendosje activist Astrit Dehari has committed suicide. Now, even with official documents, with the decision under which the Dehari family's request has sent the case for independent investigations, and under these investigations, super expertise has been sought by the Swiss Police Centre in Lozanne. Now the prosecution with this ruling qualifies the case as the alleged “death”, lawyer Tome Gashi told Express.
The Dehari family has submitted a request for all evidence and documents the prosecution has submitted to Switzerland.
“We believe that those found by Switzerland should not be delayed by much of what has been spent more than two years after the murder of Astrit Dehar and that the case should be legally closed as murder and then found by his assassin”, the lawyer Gashi concluded.
Vetevendosje Activist Astrit Dehari was found dead in his cell at Prizren's Para-burging Centre on November 5, 2016.
Dehar was being detained under suspicion that he was participating in the explosive attack against the Kosovo Assembly on the night of August 4th that year.
