He says he's been arrested at the border, going with his family to Presevo for a family case. The police didn't tell him why they stopped him, but they just mentioned the <x0-2venging against the official person”.
“Valdrin Ahmeti is a fashionable activist in Movement V EVIDENCE! and he has attended with dozens of our activities and protests. His arrest is part of the political persecution that power does to activists, who neither escape nor hide, but are responsible citizens who have always held their responsibilities with honor and pride, even accepting unjust prison sentences for their political activities”, it is said in the VV response.
The movement says that instead of arresting Valdrin, police would do well to arrest those who steal tenders, employ their family and friends, take bribes for public services, and are guilty of not developing and poverty.
“Valdrin Ahmeti is a fair activist and citizen, he will not bow down even by this arrest, because activists do not bow. We call for power to stop persecution against activists and the opposition immediately and free Valdrin. We will not allow authoritarianism in Kosovo, because we are all for the Republic of Democracy”, the response concludes.
