Such extremely touching motions, at the same time, are evidence of the extraordinary strength and courage of survivors, who despite difficulties, with their activism, are raising awareness that the use of sexual violence as a means of war must disappear once and for all and that the perpetrators of these crimes must face justice”, Jahjaga wrote on Facebook.
Former President Jahjaga has indicated that as she listened to Vasfia sharing her bitter story with everyone, she also thought about the progress that has been achieved in fighting the stigma, especially since 2014.
Therefore, Vasfije's example is the story of hope that, despite all the difficulties, with each of us committed, we will assure the survivors that they and they are not alone, and that we will always be close to them in the next battle, that of access to justice”, Jahjaga wrote.
