The surviving Vasfije Krasniqi of sexual violence during the war in Kosovo broke the silence by openly talking about her bitter experience as a result of the crime that has been committed over her.
Vasfija at the age of 16 was sexually violated by Serb paramilitary forces during the war in Kosovo.
“We as a family have always been ready to face, but circumstances have been what influenced us not to express”, he said.
“As for the Vasfija, which we call the Buke it has always had the support of the family and we knew that one day it would speak because it was not worth covering for the crime that happened”, Krasniqi said.
Krasniqi has said that after this confession there have been only positive reactions from people.
“As far as reactions on social media have already been made, there have been numerous reactions where all were positive about the Buce action, there were people on the street who stopped to greet and embrace”, he concluded.
