And, in July alone, the state has earmarked 6.4m euros for 36.794 veterans.
The Labour and Social Management Ministry's data shows that from January, when there were 36,794 people on the list to receive this pension, up until July, an additional 977 persons were added to the list.
Labour Minister Skender Recica has said that, currently, over 37 thousand people receive pensions and that this number is steadily increasing.
Meanwhile, KPC Chief of General Department, Kadri Kastrati, has said that after the KLA completed its mandate on June 13th, 13, 13, 13, 13, 13,458 veterans were registered.
The big debate on the veterans' list was made after former Kosovo Special Prosecutor's Prosecutor Elez Blakaj, before resigning, had handed over to the prosecutor on allegations concerning abuses that were made with veterans' lists.
The number of veterans has also been debated between President Hashim Thaci, who insists there are no more than 15 thousand veterans, and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who insists there were over 60 thousand in the Dukagjini Zone alone.
Last month, the Kosovo Special Prosecutor has filed an indictment he sent to the Constitutional Court in Pristina for the subject dealing with the KLA veterans' case.
