The commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Xhaman Rama, has declared that Kosovo is aiming to build a force with new missions and tasks, which will be flexible, multiethnic, useful for security in the country and beyond, and that this will be done in full transparency with the local, international and strategic factors.
He made these comments during his meeting with the Chief of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany, General Eberhard Zorn.
Gen Rama and General Zorn, together with their delegations, held a joint meeting where they discussed excellent relations between Germany and Kosovo, the KSF and KSF Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces of Germany, respectively.
In this case, the KSF commander said the Ministry for KSF and KSF, under the bilateral co-operation agreement, have very good relations with Germany's Defence Ministry and Armed Forces and that these relations will continue in the future.
According to an KSF communique, Rama further announced German counterpart General Zorn, on existing capacities, better citizens' activities, the integration of communities, development plans and with particular emphasis on the KSF transition process, the phase in which this process is currently located, and transparency.
“We are determined to implement the plan on the transition of the Force and that even further we will work closely with the local and international factor in order to be prepared to contribute to peace not only in the country but also in the region and beyond”, he said.
For his part, the German Federal Republic's chief of defence underlined that “Germany's Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces are determined that bilateral co-operation with Kosovo, with the MSF and KSF, respectively, will continue and intensify the future of”.
