Referring to figures from the Federal Labour Agency, “Frankfurter Legendine Sonntagszeitung” writes that in July of this year, the number of employees in Germany increased by 700 thousand people compared to the previous year. The same source explains that, half of them, or about 370 thousand people are foreigners.
The vast majority of these make up employees from eastern EU countries. As far as southern states are concerned, the highest level of employment results from that of citizens from Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain. There is an increase in the number of employed refugees, though that is more modest.
Federal Labour Minister Hubert Hale told the same newspaper that, without freedom of movement, which suits many employers in Europe, in certain professions, the German market would face great difficulties.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Horst Seehofer clarified on the other hand for “Welt am Sonntag” that the immigration law will be clarified by “creter clean” how immigrants should be treated, who have been working for years with status “patient” and who are located before the expulsion.
