Artan Murati from KDI, says that the amounts spent on lunch and accommodation of the Parliamentary deputies on official trips are extremely high compared to overall economic development in the country.
He estimates that the Kosovo Assembly should be careful to increase in public money management and not create unnecessary spending.
The Kosovo Assembly, which hardly holds hearings due to lack of quorum, has spent 978 thousand euros to pay MPs for 3 months.
Over 400,000 euros have been paid for their tickets on official trips, while another 41,000 have been paid for wages.
At official lunches, representatives of Kosovo's people have spent, in total, 52 407 euros for 3 months.
More than 17 per cent of Kosovars, meanwhile, live on 1.82 euros a day, according to a report by the Kosovo Statistics Agency.
