Will Merkel's departure affect the resolution of the Kosovo issue?

The departure of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who announced she will not run for a new mandate, will affect everything that is happening in Europe, as well as dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

So said Council for Regional Co-operation Secretary-General Goran Svilanovic in Serbia, broadcasting Klan Kosova.

Svilanovic has indicated that he does not want to speculate at this moment how Angela Merkel's retirement could have consequences for Germany's influence and role in resolving the Kosovo issue, Klen Kosova broadcasts.
