Kosovo Security Forces have already entered the process of transformation into the Army. This is after the first reading of three bills for this force. The military in the formation of Kosovo within a very long period of time is expected to have 8 thousand soldiers.
Five thousand of them are expected to be active troops, while 3 grand will be spare members. On the same issue, the KSF is expected to begin its expansion early next year. In a response from the KSF Ministry of News.net has become aware that in early 2019, there will be a remittances campaign.
The recruits are expected to replace retired members.
The “will certainly be launched with the completion of the countries of members who have retired from the KSF, there will also be re-regulation campaigns at the beginning of next year, and then will gradually go through the years according to the medium- and long-term development plan and re-regulation stages”, it is said in response to the MSF.
However, this total number is not expected to have seats reserved for the Serb community or other communities. From the ministry say each has the right to apply for each free position.
There are no seats reserved for anyone in the KSF and each has the right to apply for any free position. The KSF is a volunteer and professional organisation. The law on communities in Kosovo envisions that in state institutions there will be about 10% communities in general, without isolation. We as KSF have overstepped this” quota, said further by the MSF.
One of the laws that was passed in the Kosovo Assembly is that of the Minister of Watchening. In this context, transformation of the KSF ministry is provided to the defence ministry. Meanwhile, following the process in question, increased competencies for the institution are also expected.
“Changing the KSF mission conditions adding competencies and transforming the MSF into the defence minister. These competencies are defined in the Defence Ministry Bill, which is already in parliamentary procedure”, the MSF says.
We stress that even after second reading approval of three bills, KSF's name is not expected to change. By the connoisseur of military cases, it has now been mentioned, and whenever the transformation in the Armed Forces can last up to over seven years.
