Saudi Arabia's chief state prosecutor, Saud al-Mojab, will travel to Turkey under the investigation into the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).
An anonymous source announced that al-Mojab in Istanbul will meet with Turkish Chief Prosecutor Irfan Fidanm and visit Saudi Arabia's consulate.
“reporter and columnist The Washington Post” and newspaper associate “Al Watan”, featuring the main platform of Saudi reformists, Jamal Kashoggi, disappeared on 2 October after entering the Saudi Arabia consulate complex in Istanbul.
Turkish security sources earlier confirmed that Kashogg did not abandon the consulate building, while at that time in consulate, 15 Saudi citizens and officials who, on special flights came, abandoned Turkey.
The investigation into the murder is further under way, while the main task of investigators is to find Kashogg's mortar remains and prove responsible for the murder.
Following several-day claims that they know nothing about Kashogg's fate, Saudi Arabia authorities announced Saturday morning that Kashogg has been killed during alleged consulate disputes.
Turkish police still implement maximum security measures around the Saudi consulate complex in Istanbul.
