The Directorate of Inspectors in Prizren municipality has removed the provisional bridge in the village of Vlashnje.
This bridge was built by the company “Bechtel& Enka” temporarily to serve you for the construction of the nation's road.
After numerous complaints from surrounding landowners have been requested to evacuate the bridge from the responsible company, but they have ignored the demand of the Agriculture and Rural Development Directorate in this municipality.
The subx0W bridge built temporarily in the vicinity of the village of Vlashnje, with the aim of facilitating the work done by the highway-building company, has often been the cause of floods in times of heavy rainfall and increased water level.
This problem, created separately in the period following the completion of highway work, has mostly damaged farmers who own agricultural land in the vicinity of the bridge.
Following numerous complaints by the owners of these lands, the Agriculture and Rural Development Directorate has demanded from the company responsible the removal of the bridge, but the directorate's request has not been ignored on the part of the company.
The bridge's evacuation initiative has taken over the Directorate of Inspectors, which, at the departure of the bridge, has restored the river's normal course and averted the risk of flooding until the intervention costs have been billed to the responsible company.
The municipality, in this case, will continue to seek responsibility from the company in question for disrespecting contract obligations and demands of the municipality”, the municipality of the municipality said.
