The Greek government has reacted through its spokesman and state minister for the murder of the Greek minority in the Gjirokastra Bularat, Constantinople Kacifas.
Speaking to an Athens television, Dimitris Tzanakopoulos stressed that Greek authorities are in touch with the Albanian side.
Tsipras government spokesman has also stressed that they should not rush to conclusions, but he cautioned that they should stick closely to the message of Greece's Foreign Ministry, which according to him is a hard “message”.
At the same time, Tzanakopoulos also cautioned the Albanian government, saying it should lower the tone of rhetoric on the issue and not deal with aggression, especially when a human life has been lost.
The Greek Foreign Ministry considered the assassination of Kostadin Kacifa unacceptable, even though the latter opened hail fire against Albanian police.
And Prime Minister Edi Rama responded to the Greek side, saying that thank God that no innocent police were killed, while the 35-year-old man who lost his life considered “a fanned by extremist folly”.
