Brits propose Naim Gashi for director of Accreditation Agency

An international monitoring team contracted by the British Embassy in Pristina has proposed to the Government of Kosovo that candidate by most points and by a profound margin in the process of selecting director of the Accreditation Agency i - MA It's Naim Gashi. This assessment has profound differences with the local Commission for the Rating of Criteria, which have proposed Africa Lok with mostly points for director of the Agency.

Sources close to Government have told Blic newspaper that British experts have diametrically opposed assessments of the local Commission's assessment.
British “Experts have estimated that according to all competition assessment criteria, experience in management, academic preparation, psychometric test and interviewing, Gashi has been committed first by more points, even by a profound margin compared to other candidates that can hardly be reversed”, the source has said close to Government.

The newspaper's sources have said British experts have tried to access positions with the local Commission for the Criterisation, but it has been impossible, because the British have praised Gashi with maximum score, in contrast with the local Commission that had praised Lok at maximum point.
Sources from the newspaper Blic say Loku has powerful support from the Education Minister, Blessed Bytyqi and the secretary of this ministry, Ekrem Kastrati, with whom Loku has great perforities and worked together at KKUKU.

The paper has learned that Minister Bytyqi and Secretary Kastracti, along with Deputy Public Administration Minister Sami Hajdaraj, had completely prepared the process for Locke to be elected at the head of the Agency of Discension, but the scenario has been completely marred by British experts engaged in this process, who have launched Gashi as the most competent and professional candidate for the position.

The newspaper Blic has taught that British experts, as a implementing partner, have written to Prime Minister Haradinaj and Prime Minister Veselini on Friday, through which they have fully explained the process of selecting the director of the Accreditation Agency and the assessment of candidates individually.

The Secretary of the Local Writers' Recognition Commission has announced the list Thursday with three winning candidates, Africa Lok, Rifat Morina and Naim Gashi. After the eight-day complaint deadline ends, the government will elect one of the proposed candidates. It remains to be seen whether the British Proposed Gashi, or the Ministry of Education's favourite Locke, will be named.

Africa Locke has a political background, as head of the AKR branch in Kacanik, then passed over to other parties. Currently, he is a teacher at the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj.

Naim Gashi is currently a member of the RTK Board and heads the Auditing Commission in the public broadcaster. Gashi has experience in media, higher public and private education, and is known as an expert on economic issues.

On the other hand, the official for good politics and governance at the British Embassy, Agim Maraj, has confirmed to “Gazeta Blic” the drafting of the final report for the recruiting process for the Director of the Agency for Accreditation and its surrender to state institutions.

The implementation “Partner has prepared the final report for the recruiting process for the Director of the Agency for Accreditation, and this report has been sent to the chairman of the Assembly, the prime minister, and the Minister of Education, Science and Technology. The report recommends the most successful candidates who have emerged from this process, ranked according to scores. It is noteworthy that the ranking of the most successful candidates by the implementation partner's report differs from the Kosovo panel ranking. We hope that Kosovo institutions will consider the recommendations of the implementing partner”, Maraj has said via email.
