A Chilean court ordered the seizure of all assets belonging to Augusto Pinochet (1973-1990) and inherited from the former dictator's family, according to Chilean media.
The decision was made following a State Defence Council request, which ordered the seizure of assets -- $1.6m -- involved in the Supreme Court's decision concerning Banco Riggs' price for which Pinochet was charged with embezzlement of public funds.
The new resolution of justice thus has a full impact on the inheritance, amounting to $17.8 million, which the former general had benefited from his family, in addition to establishing any act of alienation on the total of remaining assets for the widow, children, and grandchildren of Pinochet.
