300 acres [300 ha] of forest land are forested

Kosovo Foresting Agency, even in the autumn of this year, has begun implementing the annual project for foresting naked surfaces. Under this project, which even this year is being funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, or the Kosovo Forest Agency, an area of 300 hectares will be forested.

In addition, state institutions commitment through various projects for foresting the surfaces and preserving them will continue annually.

So it has been said today, in the foresting of surfaces in the village of Lashtica of the municipality of Gjilan, where to look closely at the works in the realisation of this project, Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Veselini, Deputy Minister of the MBPHR Mevludin Krasniqi, ministry Secretary General Kaplaan Halimi, and APK Chief Executive Chief Ahmet Zenullahu.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Mevludin Krasniqi has said the ministry will be committed through its investments in preserving the forest environment, as well as in increasing forested areas year-on-year. In order to improve quality forest improvements, over 300 hectares of the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo” are being forested this year, Deputy Minister Krasniqi has said.

AK chief chief Ahmet Zejnullahu has indicated that the country's forest project will be completed by the end of November, while planning this foresting agency in 2019 will double. We plan in 2019 to forest a 600 hectares [600 ha] ”, Chief Chief Zejrullahu said. It has also shown that through the FAO project in spring of this year, they have forested an area of 70 hectares. Meanwhile, it has shown that in the village of Lashtice alone in the past three years, about 40 hectares have been forested, while 2 hectares will be forested this year.

Otherwise, even this year the foresting seedlings are taken from the forested Fidanese, which is part of the Kosovo Forest Agency.
