The diplomatic chiefs of both countries, Nikola Dimitrov and Nikos Kotcijas, at yesterday's summit in Thessaloniki, voiced optimism that the solution is possible.
They talked about methodology, the approach of both sides, as well as the framework of the process for overcoming differences about the name.
They agreed to have a more direct role in the talks on overcoming differences about the name.
Developing bilateral relations and co-operation in the broader context, linked to the following confidence-building measures, were also the focus of meetings between Macedonian and Greek foreign affairs ministers.
