Although still amid the dilemma of extradition or political asylum, Ismail Morina continues to cover the first pages of Serbian media.
“Ballist” is still in Croatia pending what will happen to its fate, whether it is extradited to Serbia or not.
Even though Justice Minister Drazen Bošnjakovica's decision on his extradition has not yet been taken, Serbia, Albania and Croatian diplomats are often in touch to resolve the issue of Albania, which raised fears at Belgrade Stadium.
The newspaper “Nezavisne Novosti” writes today in an article that Serbian, Albanian and Croatian diplomats are in contact to resolve the “Bailist” issue.
“Nezavisne Novosti” also reveals that this solution will be adopted soon, while with critical marks it writes that the policy has “ignoring the hands” in this case.
Furthermore, “Nezavisne Novosti” writes that on the one hand Croatia wants to maintain good relations with Serbia thanks to co-operation so far, and on the other hand Zagreb wants to have stable relations with Tirana and respects the Albanian side's desire to extend the solution of Ismail Morina.
Thus Croatians allow Albanian diplomats to visit “Balistin”. According to the newspaper in question, Serbia has provided assurances that after the extradition, Morina will respect his rights, while writing in doubt about the “Bellist's statement” that he fears for his life if extradited to Serbia.
“Morina has indicated that life in Serbian prisons is supposedly at risk. He has not paid for the provocation he did in Belgrade. Ismail Morina's lawyers assume that in Serbia he could be sentenced to eight years in prison. Ismail Morina's brother has launched a broad campaign in Albania, along with Albanian fans seeking strong activism of Albanian diplomacy to prevent extradition to Serbia,” writes Nezavisne Novosti.
