The State Prosecutor has not launched any investigation to date, concerning allegations of counterfeiting maps during the border demarcation process with Montenegro by the former commission led by Murat Meha at the time. This is because no one has until today filed any information or claims concerning this case, which could encourage the prosecution to begin investigations.
“State Prosecutor so far has not accepted any information from the relevant institutions concerning the claims proposed that there have been elements of any criminal act that could be followed according to the official task”, the State Prosecutor's official response granted Periscope.
However, the head of the Commission for Foreign Affairs, Vjosa Osmani, in the discussion held today about the Demarketing Agreement with Montenegro, has surprisingly said that investigations and the prosecution's decision on claims concerning counterfeiting maps will be crucial to the vote of deputees, pro or against the demarcation agreement.
As far as the investigation and the prosecution's case is concerned, I believe it's an essential issue because I can determine the vote for or against any MP. Because if the prosecution finally explains that there is no fake, you know which report goes down, and there's only one credit report left. In such cases of national interest, the prosecution gives quick answers. And I believe that for these cases, the prosecution has special units that are involved in proving claims of counterfeiting”, Osmani has stated in her speech during today's commission meeting.
She even says that she continues to expect an answer from Porcurora for investigations that have never begun.
I have high hopes that there will be answers, before this agreement is decided in the House for the vote. And I agree with Doruntina that to be recommended for voting against or for the agreement is intervention in a case already being investigated by justice bodies and that will be essential for the vote of deputies”, Vjosa Osmani said in her address during the Foreign Affairs Commission's meeting, writes Periskopi.
And the State Prosecutor's response that no one has so far deposited anything regarding allegations of counterfeiting maps has stated also Alliance for the Future of Kosovo MP Time Kadriaj, who is also part of the Foreign Affairs Commission.
“Vyosa probably based on what is written in the media that this issue of overcoming the competencies or for counterfeiting maps is being investigated. We as the Commission have not deposited anything in the prosecutor concerning the case, absolute”, the deputy Kadriaj said of Periscope.
However, the State Prosecutor says that in the event of accepting any criminal charges concerning this issue, it would act immediately.
“If the relevant Kosovo Assembly Commission, or relevant institutions bring needed information or any criminal outcry, the State Prosecutor will act immediately on this issue”, the State Prosecutor's Office for Media response granted to Periscope.
And it seems such claims of counterfeiting maps during the work of marking the border line with Montenegro by the preliminary commission will remain undiscovered and unproved, as the Parliament's Head of Parliament is soon expected to make a decision to proceed to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, where it is expected to be voted by MPs.
Regarding the beginning of investigations into counterfeiting maps had reported Public Television on December 30th of last year.
“IT IS BEAST FOR HARTAV FALSIFICATION E DEMARKATION COMMISSION” was the titan of news published by Kosovo Radio Television.
So far, Prime Minister Haradinaj's party has clearly voiced itself against the demarcation agreement with Montenegro, the same as NISMA. While Still Unclear The PDK's related to this agreement, and is expected to be seen when the agreement is sent to the country how they will vote.
The LDK as long as it was in position during the past legislature has been in favour of the Demarketing Agreement with Montenegro, while it remains to be seen whether such an attitude will continue.
Even the Vetevendosje Movement during the past legislature has been classical against Demarketing, while such an attitude continues to hold it at present.
Periscop has tried to get another promotion from Vjosa Osmani, but contact with him has been impossible. B. Veliu /Periscopi/
