Montenegro authorities warned today that they will open the new tender for oil and gas research in the sea.
Economy Minister Dragica Sekulic said the tender is expected to open next year and is aimed at reaching agreements for research and production of hydrocarbons.
Our “Plan is to present as many concessionors as possible in our territory, on the open sea, but this process must be cyclical”, Sekulic told the Mina news agency.
According to her, after completing a tender process in 2014, another one is planned, which will be realised in next year.
The process of oil and gas exploration in the sea is in line with the work programme, which is an integral part of the contract for exploration and production of hydrocarbons. Eni and Novatech companies have completed an electorate on environmental impact assessment of seismic research for which public hearings have been held in the past period”, Sekulic said.
The Greek company Energean is working with the projected dynamics of the works and is currently in the phase of an environmental impact assessment of 3D seismic research.
