Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has suspended the decision to raise his salary and government staff.
He has said the suspension will be valid until a Constitutional Court decision.
However, Hardinaj says the rating of the Anti-Corruption Agency that this decision is illegal is unstable and politically influenced.
Haradinaj's announcement:
The AKK's decision, in terms of wage levels, I appreciate unstable and politically influenced. This decision has given us clear answers and is well known for the opinion.
However, following the request of 30 Kosovo Assembly deputies for assessing the constitutionality of the decision on wage levels, to be made on December 20th by the Kosovo government, I have decided that, by provision, until a Constitutional Court decision, I will ask for the suspension of that decision.
My concern and the government is that this suspension hits judges and prosecutors mostly, as their salaries are directly related to the decision to level wages.
Despite the epilogue of this case, we will try to find a way to ensure full support for judges and prosecutors in the country.
