Based on the Law for the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, the selection of candidates for Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, the Government of Kosovo has approved the list, which it will proceed to in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo with the following candidates:
Fehmi Mehmeti
Himaj Blast
Faithful Bislimi, and
Safet Merovci
The Kosovo government has approved the abolition of the Kosovo government's No.06/98 decision on June 29th 2016 for the appointment of Deputy Director for Air Navigation Services for operational issues and deputy director of the Agency for Air Navigation Services on administrative financial issues.
At today's meeting, the government has approved the demand for budget approval for the municipality of Lipjan after the budget approval for 2018 by the Lipjan Municipal Assembly, dated 18.12.2017. This budget approval has been needed, since the Lipjan Municipal Assembly has been delayed to approve the budget within the legal deadline.
The government has approved the decision to raise salaries, starting on 1 January 2018 for all categories of employees who receive salaries from the Republic of Kosovo budget of 4% on the basic salary, including 30 euros' financial means for civil service workers of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as 44 euros for health workers. The increase also applies to the reward of members of the Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts. Not all who have benefited pay raisers under the Kosovo Government's decision on December 20th 2017 will be included.
With the decision approved at the Kosovo Government meeting, financial means have been allocated to many of the 54, 850,00 (five and four thousand and eight hundred and fifty) euros for coverage of the expenses for multicultural manifestation “January Flekka” 2018, in the municipality of Gjilan.
The government cabinet has approved the decision to establish the Employment Agency Adviser Board of the Republic of Kosovo. The Adviser Board will be in this composition:

With the decision adopted today at the Assembly of the Government of Kosovo, the Centres for Social Work in the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo are appointed as institutions responsible for the assessment of social categories that will be set free from payment of premiums and mutual payments if identified as poor according to the Poverty Test criteria.
The decision has been adopted to review further the demand for public interest in the real estate of owners and interest owners affected by the construction of Elez's Pristina- Hani Highway, the Cadastral Zone Nikaj and Soponica, the Kachanic Community and the Chaldastral Han Zone, the Comun Hani of Elez.
The decision has also been adopted to establish local Public Company “Multifunctional Centre” sh.a Mitrovica, with 100% shares owner from the KK Mitrovica.
Kosovo's government has formed the inter-ministerial commission for marking the 550th anniversary of the death of national hero Gjergj Kastriot Skenderbeu. The Commission is mandated to make all preparations, as well as the marking of the 550th anniversary of the death of the German national hero Kastriot Skenderbeu.
The commission consists of:
Jahya Luka, adviser to the prime minister;
ZKM Secretary;
MKRS Minister;
MKRS Secretary;
Minister of August;
MF Secretary;
Representatives from the Presidency;
Representative from Parliament;
Representative from the Municipal Assembly.
Prime Minister Haradinaj has informed the government cabinet of the Kosovo dialogue process with Serbia, and has proposed that the chief of the Kosovo delegation be appointed for negotiations with Serbia. The government has approved the prime minister's proposal that Avni Arifi be chief of the Kosovo delegation in these talks with Brussels' mediation.
Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has informed the government cabinet about the EULEX Mission closure process in Kosovo, as well as steps that have been taken to complete legal vacuums. There are eight laws that need to be fulfilled and changed in this process. The justice minister has also proposed completing and changing the decision on the composition of the Steering Committee to implement the National Strategy for Property Rights.
The government cabinet has given support to Labour and Social Management Minister Skender Recica's proposal for the division of resources in the amount of 65 thousand euros to support the functioning of centres to house victims of domestic violence. Also, with Minister Recica's proposal, a decision has been made to raise the amount of compensation for social aid schemes by 20 percent, according to the number of family members, starting at 01.01.2018.
With the proposal of Trade and Industry Minister Bajram Hasani, they have been approved: Administratorial guidance on how to make real estate available owned by public companies to develop and implement projects for strategic investment, and administrative guidance for the way and methods of verifying the criteria for determining strategic investor status.
