With the goal of increasing traffic security, Kosovo police increase fines amount

We have seen that fatal accidents have increased last year, so we have taken steps to change the” situation, he added.
Since one January, Kosovo Police have imposed 15,092 fines based on new road communications rules, 14,230 people have been sentenced to up to 500 euros.
In six cases police have imposed fines of up to 1,000 euros, while in 856 cases violators of communications regulations have been sent to court.
Police say 214 people have been banned from driving. Over 500 drivers have been affected by the removal of points after they violated the pre-laws with the traffic law.
