Union CDU party leaders/ CSU Angela Merkel and Horst Seehofer, as well as Social Democrats Martin Schulz, as German news agencies report, have reached agreement during a meeting of nearly 24 hours to continue the grand coalition in Germany.
Party representatives have drafted a 28-page document, which is agreed on during these talks at the highest level, says nearby circles with negotiators. Angela Merkel, Horst Seehofer and Martin Schulz will present this agreement to journalists during the day, broadcast dw.
Final talks between these parties on the continuation of the coalition, which even now is in power, have started a week ago. During the talks there have been disagreements and strains on many issues: refugees, the economy, finances... but they are said to have harmonised.
During the day more will be known about the agreements reached. The parties' bodies that will join the coalition should also approve of this agreement.
