Fatmir Limaj's war crimes trial continues today

At the Constitutional Court of Gjakova today, the trial of Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj will continue, charged with war crimes related to the murder of two civilians in the Malisheva area.
Witnesses called for this case, known as the “Bellanica”, are expected to continue at today's session.
Kosovo's special prosecutor on October 28, 2016, pressed charges against Limaj over the murder of two Albanian civilians during the war.

According to Special Prosecutor Ramiz Hoxha from the village of Bellanica and Selman Binishi from the village of Banja, the municipality of Malisheva, on October 2, 1998, were taken near the village mosque of Bellanica and executed at the entrance of the village of Kravasari.
The prosecution in the indictment claims Fatmir Limaj has seen the victims' bodies and has known about the crime committed, but has knowingly taken no measures towards uncovering the perpetrators of this crime and the case has never been submitted to competent bodies for investigation and prosecution.
