The world's best known annual meeting of political, economic and business leaders -- “The World Economic Forum, 2018 in Davos” of Switzerland lasted from January 23rd to January 26th.
Founded in 1971 in Geneva, Switzerland, the Forum has its own mission, “The improvement of the overall state in the world” and is declared to be an independent, impartial, objective entity, which has no connection with particular interests”, economic or political. In addition, the Forum normally publishes academic and scientific reports, while undertaking a number of initiatives in an effort to resolve the challenges and problems facing the globe, as stated through public and private co-operation.
It has become a tradition for representatives of the world elite, political and business leaders to discuss the annual Economic Forum on topics such as globalisation, climate change and free trade. But this year the meeting has been dominated by curiosity about what US President Donald Trump, who takes part for the first time in the annual economic meeting.
