Protected Witness of the Special Prosecutor, Shkumbin Mehmeti, admits he was a member of a criminal group that has committed numerous post-war crimes, including political killings for the purposes of its founders, Klan Kosova reports.
Mehmeti says there are people in charge to erase all traces of crimes committed by members of the group.
One of these was and continues to be part of the Kosovo Police.
All these crimes, according to him, had nothing to do with the KLA, though members of the group may have been soldiers. But they, as Mehmet says, were people who could not prove themselves during the war.
The group, always according to his claims, was in contact with Homeland Security, but also with SHIK, both of them illegal organisations. This second, he says, even though he was aware, does not stand behind the killings.
