This is Washington's last attempt to pressure groups actively involved in the four-year conflict.
Sanctions were announced Friday by the US Treasury Department.
Since 2014, when Russia annexed the Ukrainian Crime Peninsula and started conflict east of Ukraine between government forces and pro-Russian separatists, the United States and the European Union have sanctioned several people and companies in Russia, as well as separatist leaders, freezing their assets and stopping their journey, writes the REL.
In the last round of sanctions, the Treasury Department hit 11 people identified as senior separatist officials in eastern Ukraine.
This action underscores U.S. government's opposition to the Russian crime occupation and strong refusal to recognise the peninsula's annexation,”, the US Treasury Department said through a statement.
Sanctions also hit several Russian officials, including Deputy Energy Minister Andrei Cheresov.
