Citizens talk about stealing and copying logos, demanding authenticity

The first logo of Kosovo's 10th anniversary of Independence was cancelled, but problems with originality seem to still continue. After the first logo was copied by a tourist agency in Germany, the second logo appears to match the Democratic Union for Integration's logo published on the Tematic Congress.

In a conversation with Online Economy some citizens have demanded more seriousness and authenticity in creating symbols which represent Kosovo.

And some stressed that Kosovo has much bigger problems than this logo.

Naim Lahu demanded that the logo designer be selected on the basis of certain criteria so that the logo is original.

It's good to change, because the first logo was actually a logo similar to a German logo, but I've been asking for institutions to use some criteria even when the selection is made not to look like the logo of the state, because 10 years of state and a plagiarization is not in order, he said.

Hysa Krasniqi said another solution should be found and not imitated.

“I like this, fake set, authenticity is in question. Let them find another way out of imitation because there are similar firms in Germany”, he said.

Meanwhile, Driton Demolli said the logo should be changed, even though he said there is not much time left.

This first logo turned out to be copyable, and the second is coming out. Now we're waiting for maybe they change a new one even though there's not much time. In my opinion it must be changed to one more original, which sė has no one for the 10th anniversary of Kosovo independence”, he said.

Unlike these citizens, Dardan Berisha said Kosovo has bigger problems than this logo.

I think it's getting pretty big about that logo. But I think the logo matters a little bit. We've got a lot more problems to deal with than we've had in one year's log of jubilular”.

I'd rather concentrate what after 10 years, what we've done, and very little does logo”, he said.

During yesterday's Republic of Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has called on citizens to propose different personalities with the Jubilare Presidential Medal for the Anniversary of Independence.
