Borko Stefanovic is now in opposition to his leftist movement. The former Serbian chief negotiator for Kosovo believes a binding agreement between Serbia and Kosovo will be reached this year. Numerous problems are resolved with a final agreement, but for Serbia the main problem sees Kosovo's demand for a seat at the UN.
This is where the silence breaks. At this point there will be more problems, as this for Serbia and the opinion here is unacceptable. Serbia in this case should have allowed Kosovo to become part of the UN, and Vucic himself would have to clarify Putin in Moscow and Xi Jinping in Beijing, but also Cyprus and Spain that this is in order for Belgrade, which is the culmination of defamation”.
In Serbia tensions over Kosovo arose following attacks at the address of the Serbian president from the church. Even past powers he and now say Kosovo, independence will not recognise. But, Stefanovic says numerous problems in failed rounds now do not exist. But myths and symbols in the Balkans are important. No one in Serbia, Stefanovic says, would politically survive the recognition of Kosovo's independence.
“Not wanting to give up on our view of status, at that time, we have launched a dialogue on vital issues. They've been more failed than successful, but we've managed to talk normal, since by that time, attitude has been that Kosovo doesn't exist, people there don't exist, politicians don't exist, and most are terrorists. We've managed to open a normal page. Serbia, however, will never recognise Kosovo's independence”.
A career success, however, considers the free movement of Albanians and Serbs.
