In the trial under way against former KLA commander Fatmir Limaj for war crimes, former commander Rexhep Selimi, deputy of the Vetevendosje Movement, has testified Monday. Following Selimi was also questioned by the other witness, Bislim Office, once chief of the KLA General Staff, while today President Hashim Thaci's adviser, writes “Koha Ditore”.
He has declared that because of his frequent moves, there was no time to see the communiques that were released at the time.
Responding to questions related to the murder of Ramiz Hoxha and Selman Binish, the Office has declared that he had not heard of the case since it was outside Kosovo at that time.
The session is expected to continue on Tuesday (now), where former KLA Chief of Staff Azem Syla, Sokol Dobruna, Naim Maloku and Muhamet Hoxha will testify.
Limaj is accused of failing to take necessary measures to prevent these murders, as well as of not reporting them. As a result, it now burdens the criminal act of war crimes against the civilian population.
According to Special Prosecutor Ramiz Hoxha from the village of Bellanica and Selman Binishi from the village of Banja, Malisheva municipality, on October 2, 1998, were taken near the village mosque of Bellanica and executed at the entrance of the village of Kravasari.
The prosecution in the indictment claims Fatmir Limaj has seen the victims' bodies and has known about the crime committed, but has knowingly not taken measures to reveal the perpetrators of this crime, and the case has never been submitted to competent bodies for investigation and prosecution.
