The permanent representative of the Republic of Albania to the United Nations Organisation, Ambassador Besiana Kadare, president of the Joint Executive Board of three UN Development Agencies (United Nations Development Programmes, Population Fund) and the Office for Services.
The choice in this important body that monitors the implementation of programmes and strategic plans of these UN agencies testifies to the country's commitment to play a more active role in the area of sustainable development, especially in the framework of implementing the 2030 Agency and achieving sustainable development goals.
Albania's mandate coincides with the start of implementing strategic plans for UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS' 2018-2021. Albania will contribute to sustainable development, democratic governance, gender equality and climate change.
