For 17 years in Kosovo, 975 people committed suicide, attempted another 3646

While much higher is the number of those who have tried to take their lives. That figure for 2001-2017 is 3 thousand 646 people. For the beginning of this year, police still do not have numbers collected for this phenomenon. But on the basis of 24-hour reports, although there is still no final record of specific cases, four deaths suspected of suicide are reported.

Kosovo police have indicated that they approach the act as an act and that they investigate these cases when the person is suspected to have been driven to do such an act, or when they claim criminal acts “suicide” or “assisted suicide”.
