Witness: Our son left letters when he went to Syria

Two witnesses in the imam trial said their relatives who went to Syria learned the Koran and heard the speeches of Idriz Bilibani.

In the trial of four imams and Fuad Ramic for acts related to terrorism and calls for resistance, Bahri Kovac and Veton Krusha testified.

Veton Krusha is the brother of Hamdi Krusha, the slain in Syria, while Bahri Kovaci is the father of Kovach, one of Kosovo's Albanians who is fighting in the state involved by civil war.

Bahri Kovaci in court said his son, who stood by Kovac, had learned the Koran at the hoja accused Idriz Bilibani, while practicing Islamic religion since the age of nine.

Hajrc Krasniqi, Idriz Bilibani's lawyer, asked witness Kovaci whether his defense influence Kovac's son to go to Syria.

I don't know, and I don't want to get into pity with anybody”, the witness responded.

However, witness Kovac indicated that he had also gone to Imam Bilibani to see if his son was there, when he realized that his son had departed for Syria.

Special Prosecutor Haki Gecaj confronted the witness with a statement he had made earlier.

According to that statement, Kovac had said that shortly after he realized that his son had left for Syria, he had gone to Idriz Bilibani's menses, asking for an account of it.

In the statement, Kovac had indicated that the hoja had told him there was no hand in the job, but the witness himself had declared he did not trust the Hoja.

But today in court Bahri Kovaci said he was stressed out and shocked by his son's going to Syria and then to the police he could say things that weren't.

But Veton Krusha, brother of Hamdi Krusha, killed in Syria, also indicated that his brother had followed the lectures of Idriz Bilibani from time to time.

The accused Biliban asked witness Krusha if he knew what language he was speaking as an imam and knew his brother now killed the Serbian or Bosnian language.

Veton Krusha replied that his brother did not know Bosnian or Serbian language, and that he knows from what he saw on the internet that hodge Idriz Bilibani holds the speeches in Bosnian.

Krusha further declared that he had never seen his brother associate with Bilibani, while showing that only a year and a half before he went to Syria, Hamdi Krusha had begun preaching about religion.

The witnesses later related how they learned of the stay of Kovac's Syria and the death there of Hamdi Krusha.

Bahri Kovac, who announced that he owns a store on the floor of the house, said that his stay had left him several letters showing that he was going to the war - involved country.

The day we learned that attitude went to Syria, we understood through the letters that left us in the dugout which is the tailoring worker in my house, because the bar is soiling, and we reside in the high floors of”, said witness Kovac.

This witness indicated that he had several times begged his son to return from Syria, but he has been answered by him that if he returned, he would immediately be imprisoned.

According to his father, Kovac has demanded that the rest of the family join Syria.

While Veton Krusha indicated that for his brother Hamdi Krusha's death in Syria, he had learned from the news at the interviews and from the late friend of Kovac.

According to the prosecution, in this trial trial of the accused Bedri Robaj and Idriz Bilibani have committed a criminal offence for committing terrorist acts, while other indictees Enes Goga and Mazlam Mazlam are accused of committing criminal work inciting hatred, division or national, racial, religious or ethnic resistance.

And Fuad Ramiqi is accused of calling for resistance.
