World War III? Queen Elizabeth II has the speech ready

Yesterday, North Korea launched a ballistic missile over Japan, just two weeks after they said they tested a hydrogen bomb. In August another missile was launched on Japan before it hit the sea. This missile today is said to have flown higher and farther than the previous one, traveling 3,700 [...]
This missile today is said to have flown higher and farther than the previous one, traveling 3,700km and reaching a height of 770km.
South Korea has responded immediately by launching its two missiles at sea, while Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has said he will not tolerate such provocative actions.
US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has also strongly condemned the launch of the missile.
It is the 15th time North Korea has tested a large weapon this year and in these turbulent times, it is difficult not to think about the global consequences.
If the unthinkable occurs and World War III erupts, there is a planned speech that Queen will read to the citizens of Britain.
The talk was originally written in 1983, during the peak of the Cold War and was made public in 2013, according to the law and the 30-year term of the National Archives.
Some aspects of the word are now outdated, as is the fact that Prince Andrew is in action, in the Royal Navy, but he remains always a precise and clear text.
Written as if Queen was broadcasting the message at Friday afternoon, March 4, 1983, he began reflecting on the last Christmas party before personally sharing the sadness he had felt when World War II was declared.
BBC quotes speech:
I have never forgotten the grief and pride I felt, as my sister and I listened to the inspiring words of my father [George VI] on that fateful day in 1939 [at the beginning of World War II].
Not for a single moment did I imagine, that this solemn and terrible task would one day fall on me.
But whatever horrors await all of us, the qualities that have helped us to keep our freedom intact twice, in this sad century, will once again be our strength”.
She adds that terror now comes from technology, instead of soldiers or planes.
We all know that the dangers we face today are greater than at any time in our long history.
The enemy is not the soldier with his rifle, nor is the aircraft in the heavens, over our cities, but the deadly power of abused technology.
Her Majesty continues to stress the importance of family in times so difficult before it ends:
My “Porossis for you is simple. Help those who cannot help themselves, give comfort to the lonely and homeless, and make your family the focus of hope and life for those who need it.
As we work together to fight the new evil, let us pray for our country and good people wherever they may be.
God bless you all.
The talk was written as part of a training that simulated a situation where the United Kingdom would respond to a possible nuclear attack by the Soviet Union.
Of course, we will never have to listen to a version of this talk, but if you want to read it, you can find it below:
When I spoke to you less than three months ago, we were all enjoying the warmth of a family Christmas. Our thoughts were focused on the strong ties that each generation associates with those who came before and with those who will come. The horrors of war could not seem further distant as my family and I shared our Christmas joy with the growing Commonwealth family.
Now this madness of war is spreading around the world, and our courageous country must be prepared again to survive great hardships.
I have never forgotten the grief and pride I felt as we listened to my father's inspiring words on that fateful day in 1939. For not a single moment have I imagined that this solemn and terrible duty would one day fall upon me.
We all know that the dangers we face today are greater than at any time in our long history. The enemy is not the soldier with the rifle, nor is the plane above the heavens in our cities but the deadly power of abused technology.
But whatever horrors await us, all qualities that have helped to keep our freedom intact twice now, during this sad century, will be even more powerful. My husband and I share with the families throughout the land, the fear of our sons and of our daughters, the wives and the brothers who serve their land. My dear son Andrew is at this moment in action with his unit and we constantly pray for his safety and for the safety of all the military and abroad.
It is this close bond of family life that should be our greatest protection against the unknown. If families remain united and established, providing shelter to those who live alone and helpless, our country's will to survive will not be broken.
My message to you is simple. Help those who cannot help themselves, comfort the lonely and homeless, and make your family the focus of hope and life, for those who need it.
As we work together to fight the new evil, let us pray for our country and good people wherever they may be. /Bota.al
