The Republic of Turkey will soon begin building a refugee camp in Bangladesh, where 100 thousand Arakan (Rolingya) Muslims, who have been forced to abandon Myanmar, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).
Regarding the project in question, Turkish Agency for International Co-operation and Co-ordination co-ordinator (TIKA) Ahmet Refik Cetinkaya has talked with Bangladesh Minister for Emergency Situations Momazzal Hossain Cowdhury, who has broadcast the news that, among other days, in Bangladesh from Turkey, 10 thousand humanitarian aid packages will arrive for Rohingy.
He also announced that Turkish Deputy Minister Recep Akdağın will soon visit Bangladesh.
In attacks on Arakan civilians, carried out by the Myanmar Army under the pretext of “fighting armed militants”, from August 25th to now thousands of Muslims have lost their lives. Because no entry and exit from the area is allowed, it is impossible to determine the exact number of victims.
Military and Buddhist nationalists during the attacks have completely burned or destroyed some 200 villages. Tens of thousands of Muslims from Aracani (Rolingya) continue efforts to flee from the Naf River and the mountainous area to neighboring Bangladesh.
