US President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation with Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping before the opening of the UN General Assembly, where North Korea will be at the centre of the debates.
Donald Trump is in New York for the United Nations meeting where he will deliver his first speech as president tomorrow, but Chinese President Xi Jinping does not attend the General Assembly this year.
The ministers of foreign affairs of UN Security Council member states will gather Thursday to discuss the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and the nuclear threat caused by North Korea.
