Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, at the head of the Kosovo delegation, in the margin of the UN Assembly's next session, met last night with Sir Louis Stracker, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the island state Saint Vincent and Grenadines, this member of the Caribbean organisation (CARICOM) and who has not recognised Kosovo's independence.
President Thaci said Kosovo has consolidated its international status and that it is gradually becoming a fully integrated member of the international community.
Our “State has been recognised by 114 sovereign states and is a member of more than 60 organisations. By CARICOM currently 10 states have recognised Kosovo's independence and established diplomatic relations with us. Therefore, Kosovo is interested in establishing diplomatic relations with Saint Vincent and Grenadines to form a friendship between our states”, Thaci said during the meeting with Straker.
