MSH sends analysis abroad for suspicious deaths at QKUK
Health Minister Uran Ismaili, through a statement to the public, wants to inform the opinion about the concrete actions taken by him in connection with the reported cases of the suspicious <x0) deaths” at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo.
The minister, through this statement, has announced all citizens of the country of some concrete actions have been taken since Monday on the reported death case at QKUK.
- All health ministry inspectors are ordered to go to KKUK to begin independent and detailed investigations;
- In order to address this case with the greatest attention and seriousness, I have requested that the inspectors' teams be led by top officials of these institutions, such as the Chief Inspector of Health Inspectorate, W. D Chief Pharmaceutic Inspector, Director of Quality Control Lab;
- We've requested regular reporting from USKKUK, for investigation into other areas.
- The teams have isolated all the equipment and all the samples blocked;
- The MS teams' recommendations are that we do analysis abroad on several issues, and I have authorized ministry officials to start this immediately;
- I've requested from all sides that the process be transparent to the public for any action taken. Likewise, MS teams are also monitoring the work of the KKUK teams.
Given the sensitivity of the case, I have raised issues to the highest level, and without wanting to prejudge any results or decisions, I want to assure all citizens that any evidence of ill-management, neglect or any other factor will have the immediate institutional response”, said Minister Ismaili.
“Safe medical services and dignified treatment are the right of any citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, and any attempt to harm services for profit, or neglect situations, will be punished. I'm aware of the challenges this resort has, and for this very reason, with my team, we will be uncompromus to all those factors that have influenced or impacted that the health situation is not what citizens want”, the minister of Health further stresses.
Under no circumstances, says Minister Ismaili, we will no longer tolerate neglect or any other action that halts progress in health.
“This is the second day of our work and it will be a long and intense journey, but more commitment and political will will will address the major health challenges, investing in better services, much better conditions, much better management, and also, at least fighting every phenomenon that leaves this restable behind; corruption, malmanagement, non-adquate services and any other obstacle. That's why we need the sincere support of citizens, and any other acts that have responsibilities in this segment”, the Health Minister, Ismaili Bridge has finished.
