Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has initiated the change of legislation related to the area of confiscating illegal property and that these changes would be directed by the government cabinet.
The minister Tahiri himself has made this known at the opening of the two-day workshop being held in Pristina in connection with the management of seized and seized assets.
You are informed that I at the beginning of my work have begun to complete the change of legislation related to the area of confiscating illegal property and that in the near future, I will lead the Government of the Republic of Kosovo these changes and then I am very convinced that I will also find the support of Kosovo Assembly deputies to adopt these changes. So, rule of order and law in Kosovo will be the area, it will be the priority of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, and in this area we will have maximum engagement”, Tahiri said.
According to him, the conclusions that will arise from this worker will integrate into his work plan in the quality of the justice minister.
Tahiri said the Kosovo government has the objective and priority of fighting organised crime and corruption, while underachieving the fact that regional co-operation in fighting organised crime is very important.
“You are informed that a few days ago the new government of the Republic of Kosovo has been consolidated and that this objective Government and its priority has the fight against organised crime and corruption. Regional co-operation in fighting organised crime and corruption is extremely important, so the Western Balkans need to further boost co-operation in fighting this negative phenomenon. So, as the Western Balkans, we have to turn into an asset of the European Union, we need to start thinking about exporting security and not being a place of illegal trafisions”, he said.
This workshop, which is held today and tomorrow, are participants from Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania, Slovenia, Bosnia, Montenegro and Croatia.
The two-day workshop is organised by TAIEX and the Agency for the Property Management and Confiscated.
