The sign in two languages is set to be placed at the entrance of Panche Pesev music elementary school in Kumanovo.
But, director Svetlana Trajkovska, says that except for a gorilla that is needed to set this sign, I must reach the official decision by the Ministry of Education to be taught in Albanian.
These circumstances are seeing the argument even 35 Albanian students who would have to start learning in Albanian. Some of them say they don't understand anything Macedonian.
Are you understanding your education? Not so much! When I enrolled, I wanted to learn Albanian, but this teacher is speaking in Macedonian”, said Lena Xhemaili, a student. <x2 I don't understand. I have not learned and I don't understand teacher” as well, said Swan Shaban, a student, RTV21.
Parents express concern over the administrative delay, which is holding English-language instruction hostage, although the number of Albanian students has filled the parallel in the initial census deadline.
On September 13th, we registered our grandson and niece to the first grade, who said they started learning in the Albanian language parallel. Right now they have a Macedonian teacher, and then they've been told that until they accept the parallel they'll start learning in Albanian”, said Emine Sahili, Family.
From the education sector in the Kumanovo municipality, they say that in the pre-election period under the law they will not be able to make new employment. The leader of this sector, Gika Krstevski, says it will open up new framework for children not to lose lessons, while the professor's employment will be formalised after the 15 October local elections, not to cause trouble with the Anti-corruption Agency.
So we have a verbal confirmation, but it's been more than expected of the Ministry of Finance. We have information that by the end of this week I will be able to make a written decision, so from Monday we will have formal consent to officially start operating this parallel”, said Gika Krstevski, chairman of the education sector.
Problems for Albanian students are also presenting textbooks that are in Macedonian. From the directorate of the primary school of music “Penche Pesev”, they say there will be no books in Albanian, as musical notes are understood in all languages, but they burden the future professor who will be selected for this parallel, to develop the teaching with printed scruples.
