The boy, named Archie, was found dead, while the woman, who is believed to be his mother, also known as Leslie 44, had several injuries to her neck and arm, British medium “Metro” broadcasts Periscopi.
The 44-year-old woman was transported to the hospital with no life threatening injuries.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death of the seven-year-old son.

West Mercia police representative Tom Harding said: A 44-year-old woman from the Sterton Church has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Neighbors have expressed shock over death.
59-year-old Catherine Griffiths, who lives in front of the house where the little boy was found, said: “I only know the woman's name was Leslie, and the little boy was her son”.
“lived there with a man, I assumed it was her husband or partner. They looked like a beautiful family”, she added./Periscopi/
