The 21-year-old Kosovo girl Serafina Demaku is an MP candidate for the Austria Parliament. Demarque vies for deputy under Austria's Socialist Party, in the early parliamentary elections to be held in this country on 15 October.
Who is Seraphina Demak?
Periscopi has had a conversation with Serafina Demak, who is currently in her third year in study, the law school in Vienna. In conversation with Periscope, Demak talks about her long-standing commitment to the Socialist Party and its political path, as well as to family and Kosovo.
Born on March 25th 1996 in Baden, Vienna, Serafina Demak engages in the Socialist Party's activities in Austria. In 2011, she engages in the nongovernmental organization on the migration issue. Within the framework of the organisation Menschen.lebenı, she holds speeches for young people regarding migration issues.
In 2012, Demak becomes one of the students who gain the right to practice several months in the Austrian Parliament until a year later, in 2013, he becomes a member of the organisation's Board “Acction Cryischer SchülerInn”, which was involved in supporting students who did not achieve good results in learning. In addition to its continued activities in the Socialist Party, Demak in 2015 also engages in practical work at the Kosovo Embassy in Vienna.
By 2015, Serafina Demak also began the most official political journey within the Socialist Party. In 2015, it joins the leadership of Austria's Young Socialists, where until May 2017, it also holds the position of Austria's Secretary of Social Youth.
Following a several-year trip to activities within the Socialist Party, Demak makes the list of MPs to the Vienna Parliament in early elections Austria has announced to be held on October 15th.
She tells Periscopi that she expects great support from Albanian countrymen in Austria.
It's not enough to complain, you have to be active”, Serafina says.
I've been the voice of young people and I want to take care of them. Like all of Europe, Austria faces various issues and problems, the time of the end, directly related to the issue of foreigners”, it tells of Periscope.
In conversation with Periscope, Demak has also spoken about Kosovo. He says he wants to see as many young people engaged in politics as possible.
“has been in Kosovo for over a year, but I will do so quickly. The greatest pleasure is when I'm in my village and my parents' village, in Aberia. There I have not experienced what my parents have told me, but when they talk about the war in Kosovo and when I visit Kosovo, I feel that I am living the memory of my father and Mom”, Demaku says.
“E knows that Kosovo faces major problems even these years after the war. What I would like to see better for my fellow countrymen in Kosovo is education and health, as well as I have seen and read figures for large unemployment”, Demaku says.
“would be good at engaging young people as much in politics”, she says.
At the end of the conversation with Periscope, Demaku appeals to all Albanians living in Austria, to support him in the October 15th elections as an MP candidate within the Socialist Party. /Periscope.
